Trade the commute for island time. ★★★★★ Every review, five stars.
Every detail was thoughtfully curated … truly 5-star hospitality from start to finish. The water right outside the villa was crystal clear, calm, and actually swimmable.
No traffic, no sargassum, no stress — just beautiful beach and crystal clear sea as far as the eye can see. I really can’t say enough about the excellent food and location. Heavenly!
Each bed has an incredible view of the water … the location on Secret Beach left us breathless. Unbelievable service — I cannot recommend this stunning house enough.

Secret Beach sits on the western shore of Ambergris Caye — the calm side, where the water is glass and the sargassum never lands. A fifteen-minute flight from Belize City lands you in San Pedro, where Everaldo meets you at the airport for the ride across the island.
Fifteen minutes’ walk on land to the beach clubs and restaurants of Secret Beach — or thirty minutes wading the waist-deep shallows, usually a balmy 78–84°F. A world from everything else.
Fly into Philip S. W. Goldson International (BZE) in Belize City, then take the fifteen-minute domestic hop to San Pedro (SPR) on Tropic Air or Maya Island Air — the reef views are worth a window seat. Book a 1.5–2 hour layover. A 90-minute water ferry from the city is the scenic alternative.
Everaldo meets you at the San Pedro airport and guides you to the villa. The drive to Secret Beach takes about forty minutes by golf cart — paved, with a final stretch of sand and crushed coral that’s all part of the arrival. Prefer not to drive? The Secret Beach water ferry crosses from San Pedro — we’ll meet you at the drop-off and guide you over to the villa.
We strongly recommend one; the island runs on them. The villa doesn’t provide a cart — guests rent their own — roughly $35–75 USD a day depending on the time of year, valid driver’s license required. We recommend MTK (+501 608-6336); mention Black Orchid Oasis for the best rate. Secure parking on the villa grounds.
Daily chef-prepared breakfast is included. Optional family-style lunches and dinners — plus handcrafted cocktails from the bar — are served by Delma and Everaldo and billed separately. Meals are arranged via our dining form at least seven days before arrival so the team can acquire groceries — and onsite ordering stays available once you’re here, because plans change. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives exist for every dish, and the kitchen is always yours for self-catering at no charge.
Lunch mains run $14–24 and dinners $15–68, with kid-friendly plates — pizza, nuggets, burgers, hot dogs — at $15. Craft cocktails run $15–19, mocktails and smoothies $9–10 (all USD), plus 12.5% GST and a 24.5% service fee — everything is itemized on the dining form before you pay, with no surprises at checkout.
Daily breakfast by your private chef; the saltwater pool, private dock, paddleboards, kayaks, and pool floats; cornhole and bocce on the sand; a dedicated workspace; AC, ceiling fans, custom blackout drapes, cooling gel memory-foam mattresses, and Egyptian-cotton sateen bedding in every suite; 75″ and 50″ Samsung smart TVs ready for your streaming logins; oversized Turkish beach towels, plush cotton bath sets, hair dryers, and an in-room safe. Every tap pours filtered, UV-treated rainwater — safe to drink. No hidden fees.
All ages. The water out front is famously calm, clear, and shallow, and the bunk room — two queens and two twins with its own TV and en-suite — was built for kids and crews. Kid favorites like pizza, nuggets, and hot dogs are on every menu. Note: registered guests only, no parties, and no pets.
Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM — earlier or later when housekeeping allows, by request. Quiet hours run 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, in keeping with Belize’s quiet-hours law.
Yes. The villa sits on the west-facing shore of Ambergris Caye, where the seagrass never lands — the water stays clear and swimmable year-round, while the east side of the island deals with seasonal sargassum. The one exception: an occasional strong storm can push some sea grass onto the west shore for a short spell.
Comfortably. The villa runs Starlink internet, backed by solar power, battery reserve, and a backup generator — you stay online and powered independent of the island grid — with a dedicated workspace that keeps the sea in view. One honest note: the connection is only as reliable as Starlink itself — excellent, though nothing on an island is ever perfectly guaranteed. Longer stays are welcome.
